Nashville is still feeling the effects of the ice

Nashville is still feeling the effects of the ice storm. Many of our neighbors and friends are without power, with another round of Arctic air on the way. It’s a scene many of us have never experienced before.

I released this song 25 years ago today, and its message feels especially loud right now: NO FEAR

Sharing a few resources below for anyone who needs help. If you know of others, let me know and we’ll keep this updated. We’re the Volunteer State for a reason!

It’s been a heartbreaking and humbling few days fo

It’s been a heartbreaking and humbling few days for everyone here in Nashville. Although I am Canadian and grew up shoveling snow and battling frigid temperatures,
Ice brings on a whole different level of danger and destruction.

I am grateful the power came back on in my home within 24 hours and we were fortunate enough to become a safe haven for some displaced friends in danger with no cell service, or power in freezing temps. Downed power lines and trees made it challenging to get to some of them but the truck with all terrain tires got around it.
Please say a prayer for everyone In this area, including first responders,NES linemen working around the clock all night long in sub zero temps to chip away at restoration as quickly as they can. The minute power is restored a tree falls again and they have to start all over. It has to be so disheartening and daunting to say the least. Also huge props to police, ambulances , fire rescue, NDOT,TDOT, Dept of public works. nurses and doctors for showing up and working around the clock.

While the world we have been living in has focused on division,sometimes it takes a tragedy to remind us that we are stronger together, than apart. @nashvilleelectric

Every night at the @Opry is special, but last nigh

Every night at the @Opry is special, but last night… last night was beyond words.

From celebrating my sweet friend and sister @SuzyBogguss being inducted into the family, to the 40th anniversary of @Reba’s induction… it’s one I’ll truly never forget.

Side note… Highly recommend doing choreographed leg kicks with your girlfriends! (I don’t think @therockettes have anything to worry about.)
