I wrote this song with Gary Burr about 10 years ago, and have loved it ever since. To me this is a real, grown up song about a relationship in trouble. So many people have been there. Being in love comes and goes. There are ups and downs of a long term partnerships, and this song raises the question as to whether or not they will weather the storm, and stick it out. Do we or don’t we stay together?- how many have asked that question. The conversational quality it has felt like a natural duet when I dug it up and started to listen to it again. Johnny Reid and I have very different voices, which is why I think this worked so well.

This song came out right at a difficult time in my life and it really opened my eyes but also make me realize that a relationship is two ways not just one person can work on it. Now only if my ended good but I truly know what this song is about and truly is a great song.

I love this song. Great duet with Johnny Reid. I am going through a similar situation right now after 30 years. I am not sure what to do. I agree with the others, it makes you stop and think about what’s going on with your life. Keep up the great work.
