Happy New Year everybody,

Just popping in to let you all know we are super excited and gearing up for a hell of a great “Unplugged” run starting next month!

I’ve had a wonderful couple of months of down time since the Canadian tour ended (which seems like yesterday) and now I am raring to go again. I guess those Gypsy Boots don’t sit in the corner for too long before they get dusted off.

Super excited to be starting the tour out in California, especially since it has been a little on the “chilly” side where I have been hangin’ my hat lately. The sun and hotel pool doesn’t sound like a bad way to spend the days, and playing music to a fun crowd is a great way to spend nights.

Hoping you all had a wonderful holiday, and Santa brought you lots of goodies. I spent Christmas in Canada with my Grandmother, Dad and his wife, and got to visit a few friends. An impromptu neighborhood caroling session was a ton of fun, other than the one house that refused to come to the door thinking we were a bunch of freaks. My guess is they have now figured out who that masked woman screaming “Jingle Bells” was.

I did a lot of cooking, some baking, and a lot of consuming of those things over the holiday season so I have also been looking at my heart rate monitor a lot and sweating it out these days. I keep up with my daily routine via Facebook so I am sure most of you already know this.

I will be re-working a few things in the unplugged show so that those of you who saw it the last run won’t see the EXACT same thing, and it’s been so much fun re-learning old tunes I haven’t done in awhile.

My first bass player (and longest tenure), Jeff Ross (Jefferson Ross), is coming out to open a few shows for me. I think you will love his show and his songs. He has been doing albums independently, and it is going to be a blast to get back on the bus with him since he left the band to pursue his solo career several years ago. I love seeing my band members from the past going on to great things. Jenee is going to be touring with Blake Shelton this year. Kevin Post might have had something to do with that ;) as he went to Blake’s band back a couple of years ago. I guess once you work for one smart ass, it’s easy to work for another one…HAHAHAHA… All kidding aside, congrats Jenee.

I have a writing date set with Tia Sillers in Nashville next week, and I am really pumped about that. She wrote “Wrecking Ball” with yours truly for yours truly’s latest album…as well as several other gems you’ve heard a million times like “I Hope You Dance,” so not a bad track record.

After the unplugged dates, I have a few dates with the band in California at the end of May, then I plan on spending a little down time with loved ones and at my cottage in Canada, then gearing up for the Fan Club Party, and then my trip across the pond to do a whole month long European/UK tour in June/July.

Might be working a little vacation into that one as well, ya think?…

Anyway, thanks to all of you who have requested “The One”…keep it up, it has been doing GREAT in Canada, and is still going strong, and up in spins every week.

See you all out on the road, and at the shows…it will be tons of fun!!!

Take care,

Terri

  7. Debby davis says:

Don’t know if I will be able to see you when you come to Reno or not.
I have been to everyone of your concerts here, and gave done a greet and meet, but you weren’t in the best of moods. It seems your bus broke down and you were very late getting in, but that didn’t stop you from giving it your all. I gave you a folder of questions I had asked your fans a bout you, and their responses, when I got home, to my horror discovered I gave you the uncompleted one…
I would like nothing more than to see you perform again.
I am doing great, but have leukemia ( in remission) and do not know if I could even stay up that late.. Ha… Well anyway, break a leg with or without me.

hi Terri, you always seem to make me laugh. I wish you had come caroling in my neighbourhood, I would have joined you even though I cant sing. Since a lot of your group seems to be parting ways, if you ever need a bus driver, please send me a message and I’ll set up an interview (my terms are not too demanding and I keep up my CZ license just in case).
Hope you have a great 2012,
    Catherine

I’m gearing up for the unplugged tour too, Terri…and it sure will be nice to see you again. If you remember, the Sellersville Theatre is not too far from my house. So grateful to have a close show, especially if the weather is ‘iffy’ on the show date. I made up my own flyers advertising the Sellersville PA show…and since Sellersville is 20 miles from New Hope where I live…I’m putting these flyers around here in New Hope, to help advertise your show here. I want that place sold out for you! So, just so you know…your picture is hanging up on the post office bulletin board…hahaha…but in a good way! :)
