Terri Clark’s Road Rage Unofficial Official Bootleg Hits Website, Merch Tables NOW
Terri Clark has never been a neat and tidy girl singer. With her guitar slung even lower than her signature cowboy hat, the 8-time Canadian Country Music Association Fans Choice Entertainer of the Year has rocked, stomped and cavorted across North America, Australia and anywhere there’s a stage that could withstand her hard-charging kind of country music.
And while the dark-eyed beauty has been known for her high-energy shows, the woman who’s amassed over a decade of hits has never had to the opportunity to capture the lightning that is her live show on recording. What has long been an object of discussion among her fans is now becoming a reality – as Road Rage drops directly into the hands of the fans who’ve been clamouring for her raucous brand of honky tonk, rock and blues since Clark hit the country charts with “Better Things To Do.”
“The truth is,” Clark explains apologetically, “that when you’re in the middle of a major label release schedule, there’s just never any room to fit it in! It’s not that I didn’t hear the fans – or realize that the more I played these songs, the richer they got… It’s a matter of how the structure is set up, the way things get done and the reality of literally finishing the singles cycle for one album and realizing it was time to drop the first single from the next one…
“It’s not a bad problem to have,” she admits. “But anyone who’s ever been out to see us live – or who knows how much I love to play – knows that my heart and my soul are on that stage! For some people, it’s about perfectly recreating the record… For me and my band, though, it’s about where can we take those songs, how hard can we play’em, what else can we get out of them emotionally. So, in some ways, I feel like all these songs are getting to be heard as what they grew up to be!”
Culled from a series of performances over the past few years, Road Rage is a compendium of not only the hits, but Clark’s signature turn on the blues chesnut “Love Me Like A Man” and an incendiary take on the Black Crowes’ “Hard To Handle.” Spanning the breath of the career for the woman who got her start playing for tips with an afternoon at the legendary Tootsies’ Orchid Lounge, back when Nashville’s Lower Broadway was more combat zone than tourist destination, these are furnace-forged bits of a young woman who believed it could happen for her.
And happen it did. Beyond tours with George Strait, Brooks & Dunn and her hero Reba McEntire, Clark took to the charts with “Emotional Girl,” “When Boy Meets Girl,” “A Little Gasoline” and “You’re Easy On The Eyes,” as well as a revved up take on Warren Zevon’s “Poor, Poor Pitiful Me,” An Opry member, Clark later hit the charts with equally self-declarative hits like “Girls Lie, Too,” “I just Wanna Be Mad,” “Dirty Girl” and her personal declaration of life “I Wanna Do It All.”
“There are so many songs, so many states of mind,” Clark laughs. “But they’re all strong woman songs from women who just aren’t gonna take it too seriously. They know what’s real… and I think that’s one of the things that fans have always liked…. So it’s great to be in a place where I can do this ’cause it’s, obviously, not something that makes sense for every country artist.”

I got this last night in Regina, and I just have to say…i LOVE this CD!! Although it feels weird singing along and not physically being around other screaming fans..no camera in hand…staring at the computer screen instead of a stage…but it’s great!

Thanks everyone for the commentaries, about the shows. I love the postings about how the way and the feelings why the songs were written. Could we maybe, Terri have all of this in the cd’s? I like to read the liner notes, of the why, where, and when a song was written. Thanks again.

I checked out the merch table at Gering, NE show. Guess I was a week early for the CD and shirts. At Gering, it began to rain after the opening act and poured for about 45 min. while we were in line for the M&G. Some people left and others apparently retreated to their vehicles (steaming up the windows as TC joked-LOL) as they started piling back in when the rain stopped. They were introducing TC so I moved from the M&G spot to the stage area for an absolutely amazing performance.
TC poured her heart and soul into it, especially her new music. For those of you haven’t been to a new show yet, you’re in for quite a treat.
Terri, I promise to refresh my memory for the words to a few of those songs before the next show so when you tell the fans to sing my lips will at least move. Must have been the shock affect or brain f?rt that overcame me. LOL
M&Gs were after the show and of course one of us looked like a drowned rat or poodle in my case. Would have been a good time to buy that Rebel Soul cap!
I emailed 4 of the casinos around our area this spring asking to have TC for entertainment. I about fainted when I saw one of those casinos on the tour schedule for next month. See ya at the Rosebud Casino at Valentine next month! Hope you’re feeling better.

Not to much going on in here, so here is a review from Country Thunder. It was a perfect day weather wise, cloudy enough to shade TC’s eyes from the sun she always gets up there and cool enough to keep her cool on stage. Before the show some important dude came to TC’s merch table when they first started selling merch, he gave many fans and us a red dot to go back and meet TC, we were not sure if it meant we got 2 meet and greets or not, we asked and he said there will only be one meet and greet….so we gave him the red dots back to give to some new fans, we already had meet and greets. I spotted TC riding through the crowd in a gulf cart before the meet and greet smiling at everyone big time.
They took us back to the bus right behind the stage for our meet and greets. TC had a big line ahead of us and I think she was doing an interview for the big screen with Rudy on the bus…we saw it later and it was cute. TC came out looking great as always, a very excited new bunch where giggling and such while they waited to meet her. In front of us where 2 new members sorry I did not get to meet them, as they walked up Tristen told TC they were new fan club members and TC was VERY excited, TC said “New FANS that’s what I love to hear” and she said she thought she would never get more/new fans. We got our turn and she was very sweet, we mostly kidded around a bit and I asked about Mom, things are about the same there and she said Mom appreciates our love and prayers. I asked if she knew when we would get a message board and we talked about the fan club. TC said I should see her send box with emails to Taylor with all kinds of stuff to do, she said Taylor was swamped and trying to get things done. TC said at least we have to submit part now and I told her it was good to have her in contact with us, she said it was a good thing as fans can post to her without paying and I agreed! She said they would also be revamping her myspace.
Terri announced she would be signing autographs after the show at her table, I was excited as I remember my first time meeting her was the same place and at her table as well in 1996. We had a picnic table seating at the back of the festival watching TC on the big screen. We had already had our meet and greet so we didn’t go, we sat watching the line grow and grow to meet TC, we watched it last for 45 mins and I am sure she met hundreds of new fans. Of coarse we talked TC up in our area to other people!
We saw Lori there and hung out with her during our meet and greet, she took some other pics after the meet and greet of Blue, Terri and I, been many years since us 3 had our pic together. Oh yeah and Tristen was very sweet to us and that made me happy, he looked cute in that rebel souls hat…..did I say that? LOL, well maybe cuz he covered up that bed head hair doo LOL, he did look cute I will admit it!
I felt bad as Country Thunder does not use their good speakers and all until later in the day, so the sound was not so good and sounded as if they were working on it for Joey and Roy and TC also. Gypsy boots sounded great like they had the sound better at that time, so I was happy. No rock songs for the crowd and I could see TC still struggling a bit after her illness and some coughing still going on. Country Thunder had a very low attendance this year, their prices went sky high and many of the acts keep coming back year after year. I heard a new guy bought Country Thunder so many better things to come up there next year, I really only go when TC is there, I am happy she was, she looks great….better then ever!

A great evening indeed, Dar! I was way ready for a TC concert. This one just sort of fell into our laps. I love it when that happens. Terri’s “Long Road Home” mini-sampler has got me so cranked for the full release. Nothing is going to supplant “Fearless” for me. Nonetheless, this new album is poised for legendary status it’s own right. Full circle for sure!
BTW: It was fantastic to hook up with all you guys in Proctorville. It’s been way too long!

Hank…wasn’t that just a great evening? I enjoyed every second. I danced in my seat until time to hit the stage. Nice new music…loved hearing the older stuff…loved it all.
Terri standing and signing autographs after the show was just simply above and beyond the call of duty. Good ol’ TC, it feels like we are about to witness an important moment in time with this cd release. It feels like something has come full circle…and our “full circle” moment is just weeks away. I look forward to sitting and listening to this cd, devouring it as I have Fearless for years now.
I love the new stuff she sang for us in Ohio. So, I have great hopes for this release. Fearless is my bible. Fearless has been some sort of support system that helped me to have the courage to make the changes to live the life I am living today. And I can’t imagine anything having the impact on me that it did. However, I am willing to entertain the thought. But, really…better than Fearless? First note to last note better? Really? I’m excited to wrap my head around this train of thought. But, prior to its release, I just can’t imagine it.
Okay, so in other news…kids are leaving for a youth overnight camping trip today. That means good ol’ Momma can have an uninterrupted date night. Naked twister, anyone?

The Road Rage disk was not available on the merch table at Proctorville last night. Looks the the first opportunity to purchase it at a show will be at the Fergus Truck Show on July 23rd.
Now here’s the GOOD NEWS!
- Terri treated us to a sampling of her new music from the forthcoming Long Road Home disk. Outstanding! This disk is an absolute must have for sure.! It’s going to be tough waiting for the September release.
- The brand new “Long Road Home Tour” T-shirts were available for the very first time last night. They had been picked up from the printer just the day before, literally hot off the presses. The front features a fabulous new photo of Terri. The “Long Road Home Tour” locations are listed on the back. These T’s are destined to be very popular. They flew off the tables in Proctorville.
- Terri debuted her plan to sign at the merch table after performances whenever feasible. Last night’s signing was very well received by first-timers and veterans alike.
- Members of the Fan Club were well represented in the audience. Terri graciously expressed her heartfelt thanks for their support.
