Happy New Year!

Hello, and “Happy New Year” to everyone here at the TCFC. I hate to admit it but I slept through it…. woke up in another year, but hey, that’s ok.

It’s been pretty chilly here in Tennessee the past week. I have to look at it like God is preparing and acclimatizing me for what lies ahead in Alberta next week. I will be singing as the Olympic torch travels through both Medicine Hat and Calgary. I know it’s going to be a shock to my system; I have no idea how to play guitar with frozen fingers. Apparently, Shania Twain was in her hometown of Timmins for the torch ceremony, but I think she was smart enough to opt out of the performance aspect- Ha!

I will be shooting the next video for “A Million Ways to Run” this month in Los Angeles. I fly to sunny southern California right from frozen Alberta. That’s going to be an interesting change for sure.

Thanks to everyone for contributing to the Notes to Terri section. Just to clarify, this is mainly a feature that was designed and requested by you fans to take the place of traditional fan mail. Since the fan club has gone strictly online, we no longer have a physical address to send letters. This way you can write mail. Everything goes through the admin, then to me, and I do read them; however, I wanted to ask to please not expect emails or answers back from me personally. It would be too much for me to handle, and would be setting myself up for failure and hurt feelings happening when some got answered and others didn’t. Therefore, we will keep our online chats going as well for that purpose.

I am SUPER excited about the solo acoustic dates coming in February. I have decided to do a few album cuts that I’ve always loved as a part of the set. This show will be as intimate and off the cuff as it gets with lots of audience participation and sing-alongs. I am looking forward to it so much.

We will also be announcing the plans for the fan club party within the next few weeks as well, so stay tuned for that. We already have a really neat venue in mind, and I have a feeling you will all love it. I will plan on bringing back the acoustic show for an encore for the fan club.

So, welcome to 2010! We made it, and it’s going to be even better than 2009 (and that’s gonna be a tough one to beat!)
