Holiday Blog from Terri
Hello Everyone,
Wanted to drop a line and thank those of you who tuned in to the live chat the other night. It felt to me, like it ran a little more smoothly than the first one. We are going to do another one in a couple of months before I hit the road for the acoustic shows, and we may even try and do it via Skype/webcam, so you can actually see me answer them. Not sure how that will all work, but I know Taylor will figure it out. Just means I won’t be able to do the chat while I eat dinner, from my couch with no makeup on, in my pajamas….(if you can see me I will have to look presentable, and I do that only when absolutely necessary).
Mom arrived the other day and is going to see my older sister for a few days now as well. She’s doing well; however, to be clear, is not in remission officially. She is continuing to fight, pray, and use all the tools God has given her. She is a miracle before our eyes as the doctors said she would be gone now. From all signs we can see, it seems the cancer has not been spreading or growing since last spring. I am so grateful for everything and very thankful. Please keep the prayer chains going….
I am trying to rest up from the tour; however, still feel weary. I have about 14 people coming to my home for the holidays, so preparations were underway as soon as the tour ended.
I am very excited about next year, the solo shows…the full band shows…AND, we are shooting a video for “A Million Ways to Run” in January out in LA.
I am hoping this video will touch many people and reach the ears for which it is meant. I will be going to my hometown of Medicine Hat and Calgary to sing and be a part of the Olympic torch relays. I will be performing two short acoustic sets on an OUTDOOR stage, so send some prayers my way for that as well….brrrrrrrrrrrr.
Last but NOT least….
I want to take this opportunity to say thanks to ALL of my fans for their dedication and support. Making this album was such a joy and soul searching process, and to have felt you all embrace it in the ways that you have, is the greatest gift (besides having my mom here) that I could have received this past year. I have such a diverse group of fans from kids to senior citizens, gay, straight, female, male, and everything in between, and I can’t tell you all how much I appreciate your support. I have fans who have been coming to shows since they were little kids, who now bring their little kids. People who have met their life partners, husbands, wives, and lifelong friends through this group of people, and I realize it’s not just about me; it’s about music, and a common thread that ties us all together. I have had my share of ups and downs over the years (and those of you who have paid any attention know it hasn’t been easy), but I have grown and learned so much in the process. I thank those of you who stuck around during those times, and those of you who have come back.
Reflecting back on this past year, I just felt compelled to let you all know how much I appreciate your support for me as an artist, and person, and how happy I am to be a part of this network of wonderful folks…
Happy Holidays everyone…
- TC

Best of the Holidays to you and your family! I wish for you the same joy that your music has brought to me over the years.
I had the pleasure of seeing you four times this year on your tour and you seem very at home in your skin and your shows were the best I have seen. Adversity is a great teacher if we have the fortitude to put one foot in front of the other and continue on the path we know is right for us. Continued success in your personal journey. Keep the music coming! Best wishes for a great 2010 and God Bless.

I have been a fan club member since 1996……but this last year…..has been the best! I loved Fearless……but this new CD expressed so much of you. Not who the record labels thought you should be…..but a much more intimate expression of yourself. It “fits” you much better. I hope that makes sense. God Bless…

As always, you know just what to say and how to say it. Thanks for such a heart felt message to all of us out here in Terri-Clark-Fan-Land. I’ve written to you before, online and once in person (on which occasion you ended up mentioning me and my letter during your show that night). By reading what you write yourself and by the way you hold yourself in your day to day life and on stage, I can see why so many people love you Terri. You’re a great roll model, performer, friend, sister and daughter. I don’t even know you personally and I can tell you all that. I hope things continue to look up for your mother. Know that I, along with all your fans, are thinking of you and your family in a time like this. And I hope you find great success in your upcoming tours and video shoots. You deserve nothing less. Take care and happy holidays Terri.
Always,
Carrie (SGT V)

Thanks for making it clear about Mom, I’ve known she is not in remission but am thankful for the extra time she’d had and that she is fighting. I remember when I had cancer:( I am still thinking, praying and sending good Vibes to you and your family as they celebrate this Season together.

Terri, you are one of the most generous and giving “famous” people out there. That fact must definitely have won you more fans than just myself, and we all are happy to see you succeed and be along for the ride. There will be fans that come and go, but the ones that stay probably feel (as I have) that there is a genuine connection there and are bolstered by all of the wonderful experiences over the years.
Thanks for everything back, and best wishes for you, your Mom and family, and Happy holidays.

No Thanks needed! I have had a blast listening to your songs for the past 14 years. I have all of your CD’s even the ones you did backgrounds for like Sammie Kershaw and the Patsy Cline song Walking after Midnight. I have been lucky enough to see you in concert once in Raleigh NC at the state fair. The live CD is great and I can not wait for the live DVD thats coming out next year!
I know you have had your ups and downs over the past years but you have managed to climb back to the top again. And I know it has to be wonderful to have your mother still in your life. It may be called a miracle by some but its God’s will that she is still with us. He must have known you needed her more than he did right now. Prayers are still going up from Virginia for her.
Keep singing and I will be a fan forever thats a promise. My 3 kids all know all your songs because your cds are all I listen too. My grandson is singing them now. We love you!
Stay true to Yourself!

Have an absolutely wonderful holiday season, Terri. You are a wonderful, delightful and an extremely talented young lady who sincerely touches the life of everyone who meets you, listens to your music and supports you. Your fans receive much more in return than you will ever know. Not only is your mother a real inspiration but you, her daughter, follow in her footsteps. Often you don’t get the recognition that you deserve within the music establishment but your fans know what is in your heart and soul and will stand with and by you through thick and thin. Please take care of yourself and stay happy and smiling. That smile has brightened many a soul and must continue to do so for a long time to come. You, Linda and your loved ones are always in our prayers.

Terri
I first want to say that you have always been a big part of my life and I look forward to seeing you in person one day. As this year ends and a new one begins I would like to share how much your life and your strong desire to fight has helped me in my life’s journeys. This year has been one of great sadness since I recently lost my mother. Although she won her battle with cancer she finally lost her battle with heart problems at 66. It has change my life in so many ways and although some days are still pretty tuff I know she is in a better place. I saw that you would be filming in La. in Jan. can you say exactlly when and where? I would make the drive from TX to see you if possible. I will stop rambling now but just know you will always have friends in TX and keep up the music, as it has touched so many in times both good and bad.
Merry Christmas to you and your mom and may you enjoy everyday as though it maybe your last for nothing is guaranteed.

LOOK… All that is fine ,well and good. Send me a post card letting me know when you will be performing in Georgia. I go to the mailbox more than I’m on-line. Give me enough notice and I’ll be up front and on my best behavior. I’m thinking about and supporting your mom’s efforts. Stay safe.I’ve never seen such strength in a woman as I’ve seen in you. You need to lean every now and then. I can hold you.

Yo TC, ‘preciate your heartfelt thanks, as it means a lot. There is something about you that just makes fans of those who see you and hear you, and make people want to support you. I’ve always felt that from the first time I saw you on the video singing No Fear, then buying your albums and falling for your voice. Just couldn’t get enough of what you had to offer.
Still feelin that way dear. I’ve certainly enjoyed ‘hangin’ with you these past years, and hope it can go on….
a BIG thank you to you also, as you’ve certainly added something to my life that would have never been there…
Have a Merry Christmas……

Thanks for the love in the journal, TC. I have enjoyed following your career this year. You have taken the long way home, but it has paid off in spades. God bless your honesty, your courage, and your talent. I look forward to seeing you continue to do things your way-and finding much success in doing so.
I am very happy to hear that your Mom is doing well. She will remain in my thoughts and prayers. God works miracles every day–and she is one of them. That’s what we preachers kids call a “walking blessing”. I pray that her health continues to improve…and she continues to show us the strength that is within her. Sometimes its easy to see Gods hand at work in our lives…sometimes its not. Just remember that it’s always there…and always working in our favor. This bit of news made me smile.
I blame you for some of the happiest moments in my life. That common thread that ties us all together has been a blessing to me. I appreciate you, as an artist and a person…and I am thrilled that we are all a part of this network of wonderful folks.
Take the time to enjoy your family over the holidays. And know that my support will continue in 2010. I wish you nothing but the best, Terrence–today and in the year to come.
Happy Holidays, TC!!

Terri, I wanted to say thank you for everything you give me: the gift of your music, inspiration, and the best memories! I felt so blessed at the last show I attended (in Wendover). I left speechless and pretty much ready to pee my pants..LOL I have looked up to you musically and personally for many years. I have been here during all the ups and downs in your career and it has been an amazing journey to be part of. Thank you for all you give to us fans! I love being part of this network and I look forward to the journey ahead. Thank you also for doing the live chats, they are a lot of fun and I look forward to the next one.
Good luck as well during the Olympics, what an amazing opportunity for you! Recently that Canadian air blew this way for about a week and boy it was FREEZING, I can’t imagine playing the guitar and singing in that cold. Brrr is right! That experience will be priceless though, have a blast!!
Merry Christmas to you and your family! I am excited for you that your family will get to be together! I will keep my prayers going for Linda (still wearing my bracelet, like yours).
Be safe and Merry Christmas, Jody

Dear Terri,as a fairly new (8/07) fan of yours and as fairly new to the Country music family, I am overwhelmed at the honesty and realness of you. I have been honored to be learning so much from you, and your journey just in the past few years. Via youtube and reading interviews of you over the years of your career, I have seen the changes and the growth. If you could have seen me just prior to this stage of my life, you may not have understood why I could have just existed with no motivations, or dreams to look forward to. It is because of you and your beliefs to treat people equally that I write again in my life. I started to believe (other than my Mom), that Honesty was getting harder to see. I came to believe that Love is needed in my life. I didn’t want any part of Love, at all. By being who you are, with your music, and your caring genuine heart, you’ve opened up my heart and mind, to a whole new world. You’ve awaken the creativity that’s within me, again. I never thought I could ever like much less Love Country music, or never would I have thought anyone could understand how I feel about life. I feel you do this with many of your fans. I could go on alot longer of how you’ve reached in with your music, to let me know that I’m not alone in this world anymore. I heard a line in a movie some years ago. It described how one person can reach into the lost soul of another, and “wake them up”. To…”reach in and put a string of lights around your heart”. You have done this for me, and I Thank You from the bottom of it. Have a very blessed Merry Christmas and a Very joyous, happy, and free, New Year. Sending more positive thoughts and prayers for all.
Roaree
