I love that I was finally able to bring that part of me, as a singer, that loves to hint at rock and blues in my live shows, to a recording. This is a song about embracing the things about you that make you different from everybody else, rather than run away from it.
But the other thing about the song is that even though it’s specific to me or a traveling musician, it’s everybody. Everybody’s restless… everybody wants to have that moment when they’re completely free and rocking… where they’re totally alive, and I think people have plugged in pretty hard on that vibe.

I’ve always admired Terri Clark’s musical abilities over the years. But this song is so different, it is bluesy, rocky, country and downright, gosh-darned ‘all that and two bags of chips’!!! Plus, Terri is just gorgeous. I hope this gets radio play…

I have seen Terri Live twice at Casino Rama. She played Gypsy Boots the last time, and it was awesome. This version on the album has been mainstreamed and taken away from the power that she puts into the song….A little disappointed, but she is still awesome
