I know, I know. I’ve been remiss in updating my journal.

It’s been a crazy year. Tons of change. I don’t really know where to begin but I will start with using the word “Grateful.” The Canadian tour to support the “Classic” record was a huge success and sold out across the board in almost every venue. Immediately following the tour, I was settling in for a summer of fishing when I got a phone call from my old friend Blair Garner about the launch of his new morning radio show on NASH-FM in New York City called “America’s Morning Show.” We had several long conversations about his exciting vision and things to come and I officially joined the cast on June 1, 2013. I started out doing 3 days a week and was recently “promoted” to full-time at 5 days a week. The early hours are a killer but the gig is sooooo much fun! I love working with Blair, Chuck Wicks, and the entire staff. I haven’t had this much stability in 20 years. And for those wondering -Yes, it will affect my touring. I will most likely only be doing 20-25 tour dates next year but I will do my very best to take care of my health and not let either the radio show or my artist career suffer.

Speaking of my artist career – Michael Knox is on board to produce my next album! We start in February. I have been writing some, however, Michael was brought in not only for his success producing hit albums on Jason Aldean and Thomas Rhett, but I have known him for 20 years as a real song guy in Nashville. He will bring a lot of incredible songs to the table that I didn’t write and has the access to a wealth of wonderful songwriters. I really look forward to recording with him. I am also doing something different this time around by making a crowd-funded album with PledgeMusic. Things have changed so much in our industry that I feel like it’s a good time for me to get my fans more involved and included in this process with the chance to hear the music first. I have often said my fan base is the best on the planet and I am pretty sure we will be blown away with the participation from all of you. Stay tuned for more info around the end of January on all of that.

The Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville made me their Spotlight Artist with an exhibit running Sept – Jan 1. This was a lifelong dream of mine come true. I think every aspiring artist coming to Nashville for the first time walks through those halls daydreaming about a case with their guitars and clothes displayed. Seriously. What else can I say about it? Still in awe of it all.

Also, last but not least the Fans Choice Award at the CCMAS shocked me so much I had to rub my eyes and thought I was still dreaming when I woke up to all the congrats texts. Seriously. Again. Wow. And thank you guys so much. I felt like an ass for not being there but I honestly didn’t expect anyone to really miss me or to win anything. You never cease to amaze me.

And the voting goes on with the Most Beautiful Woman poll in Country Weekly. Really? #3? That’s a lot of information for me to process. I suppose I should take the tags off my clothes before I wear them now. Thanks for the votes. :)

More to come. Sorry it’s taken so long. I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday season and a Happy New Year. See you soon!!

Xoxo

    Hey TC
Good to hear you on the radio. I remember when you started receiving radio play around 1995-1997. Or at least that was when I recall hearing your name on the radio.

I live about an hour North of NYC and I am able to listen to the NASH morning show as I drive towards the city to go to work.

    Did you move to NY?
    You look better than ever.
    Keep up the good work.
I enjoy the morning show. Great to hear country music more frequently since moving here from Texas.
    Mark

I recently went to see you live at casino Rama now that I can get in, lol and I couldn’t believe your voice. I couldn’t do anything but smile and sing along.
At the end you shook my hand from stage and that just made my new year set with the biggest smile on my face. Thank you so much for that xoxo
    Your loving fan.

Hi LeaFirst of all you can only do it once. If the Content Editor doesn’t display cotlrcery on save, you’d need to delete the web part, then add a fresh Content Editor web part and start all over again. If you ever go back in and edit the web part, it will strip out all code and you have to delete and start all over again. It’s quite a fussy little devil. It might be a security issue if you’re using a browser directly on the server, make sure the enhanced security mode is switched off and add the SharePoint URL to the Intranet zone. See how that goes.Cheers and regardsSharon.

  42. Mark Clark says:

Since you’ve always done such great covers in your concerts, I’d like to suggest Road House Blues by The Doors. I think you’d do a killer bluesy-country version of this song live!

  43. Nancy D says:

Thanks Terri for taking the time to share your experience, strength
and hope.. Yes you do sound stable. I have to admit that I feel alittle jealous
because all of your gigs are everywhere but California but, I do
have to admire your being so positive in everything you do and you will
    return here sometime..miss you.
Have a safe and festive holiday

  44. Julie says:

Terri as usual you have given your fans so much this last year. I have been a die hard fan from day one and own every cd you have ever put out. Funny thing with you being on the radio with Blair is that when you were first starting your career he did the After Midnite show and he had a pick it or flick it section every night with new songs. You were on that segment with every new song you released. And i must say you were always a pick it. I voted every time LOL. Thanks for everything you do. Always a loyal fan. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years. Make sure you get some rest.

  45. Your an awesome Artist!! Been listening to you for a long time!! Who says it needs to be a man!! Women own jeeps too and cowboy hats and boots!! You fall in love with who ever you feel that certain heart stopping connection with. Just saying!! Well Peace and Love!! Keep the music coming ty

the Fairy Tale would have a great ending like Loretta and Doo….

    • Mark Niemi says:

      I have a Jeep. ;-)

    • Kendra Eastwood says:

Why can’t it be a sexy lady in a jeep? You fall in love with the person, not the gender. I hope she finds someone that will love and cherish her. Chely Wright found her female love and they are a great couple. Just say. My opinion.
