a quick update…
I am on the bus, in Montana, it literally looks like a painting…beautiful. Since we are driving 5000 miles to play these three gigs, at least we have some pretty scenery eh?
I have a GRUELING schedule beginning Aug 30th in Toronto and winding up in Vancouver for the CCMA’s, THEN, flying back to Toronto to play acoustic for some big time music directors for film and TV at the Toronto International Film Festival. THEN, flying BACK to Washington for the gigs we have in the pacific Northwest the end of Sept. Gearing up for this kind of schedule is a little overwhelming, but I will have fun.
Good news on the radio front everyone. The single is # 9 in Canada this week AND there are plenty of stations playing ” Gypsy Boots” now in the USA…the reaction is great and it’s, so far, going very well at these smaller markets. We will let you know who all are playing it, and THOSE are the ones to target calling – the one’s already playing it. Please guys, don’t hound them…just try to keep your calls local, and not send email after email, or we could get the opposite reaction.
We want this to grow organically and develop a grassroots appeal, and so far, it is. We can give it a little nudge, but we don’t want to push too hard. We want to try to be respectful of the radio folks and know they are doing their jobs. Another great thing to do is, AFTER you hear it, call and thank them for playing it, and tell them you like hearing it….THAT is a great thing!
Many artist fan clubs annoy the hell out of radio, and they start to get their back up, so we need to be respectful.
I have been tweeting on twitter a little (terriclarkmusic). It’s an interesting concept, and I am not sure if I have enough interesting things to say, but I will give it a shot and see what happens. I will check in again soon…thanks for all your support, soon the album will be out YAY!!!
