A new journal update from Terri
Just a short note to all…
I am looking forward to chatting with some of you tonight, and SO appreciate all of your support and attendance at these shows. I’ve seen some US fans crossing the border, and the Vegas show looked like a TCFC party. Thanks to everyone for all the thoughtful gifts as well, to name a few, the beautiful diamond cross, the chocolate (my ass thanks you), the Starbucks card, and the truly special and sentimental gifts like the 10 year sobriety chip, and wooden wine cup, plus all the cards and letter I had for bedtime reading..
I feel so humbled ( and at times undeserving) when you give me tangible items that symbolize such special milestones and moments in your lives, but I do not, for one second take any of that for granted, and cherish those things that have meant so much to each one of you.
The shows have been such a blast for me – they’ve made me want to laugh and cry all at the same time.
Words can’t express how I feel now that I’ve come full circle back to exactly what it is God put me here to do and deliver. The long way home feels really good, but has been quite a journey, and one that I am thrilled to have you all along for.
I will be touring in some different combinations next year, everything from full band shows, to stripped down trio shows, and then shows where it’s just me, alone, and unplugged, stripped, and exposed…uh, well you know what I mean.
We are currently looking at putting together a string of shows in a bunch of very accessible/cool US cities at places across the country, in rooms that seat between 2-500 people. This will allow me to do what I feel I do best; just connecting on a personal level, with my guitars, and maybe a few little surprises along the way. Judging from the response I have been getting from my acoustic solo segment during this Canada tour, It has inspired me to do more of the same. Many people have come to me afterwards saying it was the show’s highlight for them. I started out this way, when I was a kid, playing for tips at Tootsies orchid lounge. I want to get back to basics, and just let it all hang out, as raw as possible. It will be a show that tells my journey along with some older hits, but also more songs from “Fearless” and the new album as well. I am taking a different road than what is traditionally expected, and have forgone some of the more predictable ways of touring to take a chance and do something that will feed my soul a little more….it’s non-negotiable at this point. I can’t wait to share the venues and cities with you once we get it all finalized, but I am REALLY looking forward to it.
Thanks to all of you for getting my Facebook fan numbers up, and following me on Twitter…I will tweet until I can’t tweet any more…but I don’t want to tweet so much that I get annoying. We will continue to post vlogs and are saving a few pics for after the tour is over so you guys have something to look at that is new.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all…talk to you soon…
- TC

Hi Terri I am 16 years old and your biggest fan in country music. My favorite song from you is called Gypsy Boots it’s my favorite because it talks about being a country girl and that’s who I am well sometimes. I like to listen to rock and pop and R&B I went to your show in Duncon I was sitting in the front row that was very cool because I can’t see very good. I just had my wisdom teeth taken out so my teeth are very soure I had them after the show witch was good or I wouldn’t been able to sing ha ha I am in bed right listening to gypsy boots. I hope you write back to me soon because I would like to hear from you

I’ve loved your music from the beginning! My GF surprised me with tickets to your show in Wendover, NV. show…front row, CENTER STAGE and I couldn’t stop smiling the entire show! Can’t wait to see your dates for the “unplugged” sites in 2010. I know one thing for sure, I’m traveling to one if you don’t come to Utah / Wendover. Thanks for sharing your beautiful music and life with us!

Enjoyed your visit to the Superstore yesterday. Only two songs but 2 of my favourite. ‘No Fear’ always gets me choked up. That was a great looking Gibson you were playing with sort of a Japanese crane motif. Got a photo together with you but had nothing to sign. Later I thought I should’ve asked you to sign my iPod since your album was in there. Got to tongue tied to ask anything but wanted to find out what you favourite ‘Alien’ movie was. Did you watch them all the night before?

Oh Yeah, KARLA….Good to hear from you in here.
You were so gracious and kind to us ALL in Trochu. Iv’e never experienced a Hotel clerk who will babysit the dog, hand over her car keys to the drummer , and give us rides around town…you were super sweet to all of us, and I will be sure to get you some pictures of your pup with her new boyfriend Wasabi…too cute…
See you next time !!!

Hey TC, you can say yer welcome to er.. your butt… lol. I told Jenee that I hoped you shared because 1) the chocolates are pretty good (IMHO) and deserve to be discovered by others and 2) if you ate all of them that would be kind of scary!
I’ll have to remember my other favorite brand when I see you next.
It means so much to us fans to know that you appreciate all of the things that we give you, I can’t speak for all of them, but for me it’s a way of expressing how much you and your music has meant to me. Since I’m not sure of being able to repay you in any other way, I greatly appreciate just the opportunity to get to tell you so!
Looking forward to the chat (hopefully!) in December, and thanks for clearing my “crass” comment, lol… like Holly I really love your “stand-up routine”.
Take care and hope to see you soon…

Hi Terry,
Thank’s so much for posting all the tweets somehow, all those simple little notes just take the edge off so many nights away on the road for me as well. I’m in hotels about 120 nights a year as a humble peddlar and and reading the tweets from a fellow traveller just seems to make me smile for some reason. Thanks for sharing!
Welcome to Vancouver, its always a wonderful treat to get to see you and I hope your stay will be an enjoyable one as well. If you and the crew need any recomendations for a good place to eat or put a smile on your face, I’m born and raised in Vancouver and fairly well versed.
As you know Vancouver/Whistler is hosting the coming 2010 Winter Olympics in February, and will you back to either perform or just spectate with us?
I read in the papers a few days ago that aparently ABC would not broadcast the opening cerimonies to the US public unless we use American artitists for the big opening event and they have not publicized any evening musical entertainment scheduals yet but, really hope to see you here with us, I’ll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.
The Commodore Ballroom is Vancouver’s oldest entertainment facility and the history of who has played that room will estonish even the most established of veterain entertainers, ask around when you get there, it’s fun to know some of the history of the old place.
I don’t have tickets to Sunday 8PM show yet but, I have a well connected buddy who is working on it for me. All the seats are great in that room but, my buddy always seems to come up with something very special, for a special show. There is also a historic fun place just up the street from there that has a house band that you wouldn’t believe would be there if your looking for a good place for few giggles. (Yale Hotel)
Anyway, thanks again for reading and hope your stay is a fun one.

Yo TC, thanks for all of the compliments to your fans. We appreciate you appreciating us…? how’s that? Anyway, it’s a great feeling to be a fan of yours, and to have followed you these last years. I’m excited for you being as excited as you are, and I’m all for your new adventures. At this point, whatever keeps you excited and wanting to continue to perform is what counts, and wanting to bring us music and your beautiful voice and self…..Hopefully you’ll see ole toadcorp along this new path you are going to be taking, cause I’ve sure missed you. Happy Thanksgiving to you and all yours also, and take care…

Thank you, Terri. I am so glad that this tour has enabled you to feed your soul and reach more fans while you do it. You always look like you are having a good time at shows, but you looked so very happy and content on this past tour. You could really see it on your face.
I was honored to cross the border to your homeland and see you at four shows in a row in October…it is something I will never forget.
Thank you for your support of my photography and for adding some of my photos to your live photo album. It means the world to me.
Also, thank you for allowing me to meet some of the best people around through your fan club. The friendships I have made here are all because of you.
Have a great day,
